Should I Enable User-Created Challenges?

Learn more about the benefits of enabling user-created challenges for your users

Updated over 6 months ago

User-created challenges are a great way to keep users motivated and engaging with the Healthy Cities app without creating any work for you, the admin.

Turning on user-created challenges allows users to make their own challenges and invite other participants in your organization to join them. By default, your user-created challenge participant limit is set to 10 total users, but you can increase or decrease this limit from your App Settings if preferred.

When creating a user-created challenge, users can select from 5 different challenge modes: Streak, Leaderboard, Target, Daily Habit, and Virtual Race.

Benefits of user-created challenges:

  • Increase user engagement and participation by giving the participants more ownership over their challenge experience

  • A great way to fill the off-time between challenges without creating any work for admins

  • Users are more likely to consistently and continuously sync their data if there are more challenge participation options

  • Allow participants to use the app year-round, regardless of your challenge schedule

  • Users are more likely to become champions of your wellness program if they are creating challenges with their coworkers and close friends at work
