USPS Form 1583 is a USPS-required form that gives BusinessAnywhere legal permission to receive, hold, and handle your mail at your virtual mailbox address. Without a completed and notarized Form 1583 for each recipient, we are not allowed to activate your mailbox or accept your mail.
The form confirms your identity and your real residential address, and it records that you chose BusinessAnywhere as your Commercial Mail Receiving Agency (CMRA). In practice, that means each person or company receiving mail at your address must complete Form 1583 and ID verification before we can scan, forward, store, or shred any items.
You can fill out USPS Form 1583 through your BusinessAnywhere dashboard and then notarize it using our Online Notary or any qualified notary, and upload it directly to your account for review.
