Can BusinessAnywhere talk to the IRS on my behalf about my EIN?

Limited contact unless formal authorization is in place.

Updated over 3 months ago
  • In most cases, only you or a formally authorized representative can speak with the IRS about your specific account.

  • If you want a tax professional to talk to the IRS for you, they usually need a signed authorization form to be submitted and approved by the IRS.

  • As a 3rd-party designee for your EIN application, BusinessAnywhere only has authorization to your EIN for 14 days after the date of submission. After that, the IRS will not discuss any EIN information with us.
