Overview
The layers can be found in the "Segmentation" group underneath the "Buxton Data". The dot density households are represented at the standard Block Group Level.
Segmentation Information (US)
The Mosaic segmentation is a household-based consumer lifestyle segmentation system that classifies all U.S. households and neighborhoods into 71 unique types (A01 - S71) and 19 overarching groups (A - S), providing a 360-degree view of consumers’ choices, preferences and habits.
Each segment is generally ranked from most affluent (A01) to least affluent (S71).
This is populated onto the map as a dot density. By default, each dot represents one household within the blockgroup.
SCOUT houses both residential (where they live) and workplace (where they work) segmentation data for households. You can swap between the two options using the drop down option at the top of the menu.
Tool Tips are built in directly for each layer for some quick information about each segment.
There is also a link to the full segmentation guide going in depth on all of these segments located on the top right. Click on your icon and go down to the "Learn" section to access the guide.
