How to configure preferences

Here's how to set your program's preferences, such as acceptance settings, reward processing settings, and more

Note: We use "Program" and "Member" as label-agnostic terms to refer to any marketing you are using Buzzbassador to facilitate, whether you refer to it as an affiliate program, influencer marketing, ambassador program, referral program, creator partnerships, brand reps, partner program, etc.

The last aspect of the Buzzbassador settings is the preferences. These include all of the aspects of your program other than codes, discounts, and commissions.

These are the program settings you'll be configuring in this article:

  • Reward Processing Period (# of Days)

  • Automatic Applicant Approval - All (On/Off)

  • Automatic Applicant Approval - Only On Purchase (On/Off)

Each setting will be explained in its own section below.

Reward Processing Period

This section of Preferences determines how many days your members' rewards will need to 'process' before they become due to be paid. This comes in handy for refunds (among other things) seeing as some orders that your members generate could be refunded, and you may want to make sure that they aren't paid commission until after your refund period has passed. The most common periods for rewards to process are 7, 14, 30, and 60 days. You may choose to make this period however long or short you'd like, though!

To configure this setting: just type in the number of days you'd like it to be, and it'll automatically save

Automatic Applicant Approval - All

This section of Preferences determines whether or not your members will be automatically approved as soon as their application is submitted. This may come in handy if your program is very open to all applicants, and you don't care to spend the time going through each application and vetting it. You can read more about automatic member approval here.

To configure this setting: simply click the switch. If you want to approve all members automatically, make sure the switch is turned on, with the green side showing. If you want to manually approve members, make sure the switch is turned off, with the grey side showing.

Automatic Member Approval - Only On Purchase

This section of your Store Settings determines whether or not your members will be automatically approved as soon as they make a purchase with your program discount code. This may come in handy if you require your members to make a purchase from your store before they can be approved. You can read more about automatically approving members on purchase here.

To configure this setting: simply click the switch. If the switch is turned on, the green side will be showing. If the switch is turned off, the grey side will be showing.
