Read-only SQL access can be enabled at the database level. If you need SQL access to span multiple databases, you first need to connect those database together either in Data Lake or using a multi-database Studio project. In this case, enable SQL access over the primary database – all connected databases will be available within schemas.
Step 1: In Data Lake, locate the database you'd like direct SQL access to
Step 2: Choose "Manage Database Settings" from the action selector
Step 3: Choose the "SQL Access" tab
Step 4: Click the checkbox for "Enable SQL Access" and then click the blue "Save" button
