Generate an Assessment Report

This article describes how to produce an output report detailing the assessment or audit results for executive and departmental use.

Once an Assessment Plan is completed, a report is generated that documents the results from the assessment for all the controls and related Information Systems. The Assessment Report is essential for organization executives, Board Members or other personnel to understand the status of a compliance program and the specific tasks that need to be done to reduce the overall enterprise risk of an organization.

Click on the completed Assessment Plan from the list of available plans. Click on the caret (>) that corresponds to the Assessment Plan. Next, click on the three dot Options ellipsis from the top right portion of the screen. The Options have changed from Edit and Close to Generate Report. To begin the process of generating the Assessment Report, click on Generate Report.

Users will get a confirmation dialog box asking them to confirm their intent to generate the report. Click Confirm. The report will run in the background enabling Users to perform other functions in CyMetric while the report is being assembled. Users will get a notice indicator from the bell icon in the top right corner of the screen when the report is ready for viewing.

Click on the Bell icon and then on the Assessment Report Generation Finished Dialog Box to enable access the report. Next, click on the Download Report button to review the report. Users will be asked to name and save the report to a location of their designation. The report is outputted in Microsoft Word format. Once you have named the report and designated the appropriate location to save it, click on the Save button from the dialog box. The report is now available for review in the location it was saved.

NOTE: The document has fields that are linked throughout the document. These fields refer to each other which Microsoft Word has to enable. When you open up the file in Microsoft Word, you will be prompted to enable this function. CLICK ON THE YES BUTTON TO ENSURE THE DOCUMENT DISPLAYS ALL OF THE RELEVANT DATA.
