What do I actually own?

When you invest in property through Cahootz, you are directly buying ownership in the individual UK Limited Company called a Special Purpose Vehicle (“SPV”), which is established specifically for purchasing and holding the property.

We chose this structure as it gives legal title of the underlying property to all investors and economic interest over time, such as the rental income and any capital appreciation.

Every property is divided into 500 fractions (a fraction equals 1 ordinary share) each worth 0.2% of the SPV that holds the individual property.
