Cake offers three resume privacy settings. The following explains how to edit these settings and the visibility of each option:

Edit Resume Privacy Settings
The default resume privacy setting is Any person with the link and any employer on the platform. If you would like to adjust this setting, please follow the steps below:
Go to the dashboard and click “Resumes”, or click the profile avatar in the top-right corner and select “My Resumes.”
Click the “Settings & Privacy” icon at the bottom-right of the resume.
In the “Privacy” section, select the preferred resume privacy option.
Click “Update” to finish editing.

Resume Privacy Options
Public
The resume can be found and viewed by anyone on the internet without logging in, including search engines. This option is suitable for users who use Cake as a personal branding website.
Visible to: Anyone, including who find your resume via search engines
Any person with the link and any employer on the platform
The resume can be viewed by anyone with the link (no login required) and employers on the Cake platform.
Visible to: Anyone with the link, employers on the Cake platform
Invisible to: Search engines, anyone without the link
Only for those with the link
The resume can only be viewed by users who have the link (no login required).
Visible to: Anyone with the link (including employers who receive your resume when applying for jobs through Cake)
Invisible to: Employers browsing on the Cake platform, search engines, anyone without the link
Note: If the privacy setting is changed from Public to either of the other options, the original public link will become invalid. Ensure that only the encrypted link is shared.
