The CampusReel administrator portal allows your team to have full control over the content your student creators record.

This article provides step by step instructions for creating and managing your video "Tasks" (the prompts and questions your students will answer) and best practices for crafting these prompts.

Step 1: From your admin panel, navigate to "Tasks" on the left hand navigation. This will take you to your full list of tasks (or prompts) that your content creators will see.

ALL CampusReel schools default to a list of 4 generic prompts. If you choose not to update your tasks, your content creators will be automatically prompted to discuss the following:

  • Why I chose my school

  • Three reasons I love my school

  • Campus Life and School Culture

  • My Academic Journey

Step 2: Create a New task by clicking the blue button in the upper right corner.

Step 3: Complete the required fields.

Best Practices for building tasks:

  • If the topic is meant for a specific set of students, indicate this in the task title.

    • Example: For MBAs - Career Development Opportunity

    • Example: For Online Students - My experience as an online student

  • Include at least 3 talking points. This helps content creators know where to start. Example:

For Online Students - My experience as an online student

    • How have you adapted to the online learning environment?

    • How do you interact with instructors and classmates?

    • What are some of the challenges of online learning, and what are some of the benefits?

Step 4: Decide who should complete the task. You can assign the task to a single individual, a select group, or ALL content creators.

Step 5: Manage your list of tasks by rearranging your top priorities, removing, or editing existing tasks.

Step 6: Include a message to every content creator who joins the project.

Best Practices for announcements:

  • Communicate your expectations clearly. Let your content creators know HOW MANY tasks they should record themselves addressing (we recommend 4).

  • Remind content creators if they're eligible to receive an INCENTIVE for completing the recordings.

  • If you're working multiple groups of students (e.g. Graduate students, Undergrads, special club affiliates), address each group in the announcement and DIRECT them to which prompts they should address.

Tasks and announcements will all pull through to your content creators' dashboard.
