CampusReel has closed captioning on each video, however it is up to the viewer to turn them on. Whether it is on the CampusReel Profile, the Player Embeds, or the Landing page, there is [CC] toggle to turn on subtitles:

When the viewer clicks this button, they will instantly pop up on the player:

Voila! :

The software we use to automatically populate captions is Amazon Web Services, which is very precise at decoding the script. We do recommend double checking the actual subtitles and see if there are any errors, especially for accessibility accuracy.

Here are the steps to REVIEW the closed captions:

  1. First, make sure the video you’d like to have subtitles has the status as “Public” or Private”.

  1. Go into the edit section, and click “Edit Video Subtitles” (purple button on top)

  1. You’ll see you can make changes to the text and click “Save”.
