Unpuzzling: Foodtech Ontario accepts ventures across a broad range of Technology Readiness Levels (TRLs).
Accepted TRLs
TRL 1–3: Early-Stage Validation
Your technology is in the early stages of research, concept development, or validation.
TRL 4–6: Minimum Viable Product (MVP) Development
Your technology is being developed, tested, or validated through a prototype or MVP.
TRL 7–9: Pilot-Ready or Near Commercialization
Your technology is pilot-ready, being demonstrated in an operational environment, or approaching commercialization.
Are all accepted TRLs eligible to apply?
Yes. Ventures at TRL 1 through TRL 9 are eligible to apply.
