The Ontario Food Technology Pilot (OFTP) Program is a targeted funding initiative aimed at accelerating the commercialization of emerging food technologies (foodtech) developed in southern Ontario. It provides non-repayable project financing to help early-stage foodtech companies overcome significant barriers associated with piloting and validating novel technologies in real-world environments. The program helps reduce the risk and cost for innovators by supporting demonstration and testing projects. This program is funded by the Government of Canada through the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario (FedDev Ontario).
