How are Ontario Food Technology Pilot applications evaluated?

Applications are evaluated using the Ontario Food Technology Pilot Program Assessment Criteria.

Evaluation Process

  1. CFIN confirms eligibility requirements are met.

  2. CFIN staff and external reviewers score eligible applications.

  3. Applications are evaluated using the assessment criteria outlined in Section 5.4 of the Program Guide.

  4. Top-ranked projects are selected for funding.

Priority Projects

Business-to-business (B2B) solutions are prioritized.

Priority sectors include:

  • Food processing

  • Foodservice

  • Distribution

  • Retail
