Eligible projects must:
Focus on food processing or food distribution
Demonstrate clean technology innovation
Include research, development, or industrial demonstration activities
Start at TRL 4–5
Target TRL 8 by project completion
Be completed by December 31, 2027
Eligible projects must also demonstrate novelty.
Your project must either:
Deploy a technology commercially for the first time, or
Apply an existing technology to food processing or distribution for the first time
Projects using technologies already common in the food industry are generally not eligible unless they are part of a meaningfully novel system configuration.
Projects focused only on installing third-party technologies without a substantive R&D or demonstration component are not eligible.
