How are capital assets defined under the True North Sustainable Food Fund program?

A capital asset is any tangible asset with a fair market value greater than $25,000 that is purchased, constructed or acquired using True North Sustainable Food Fund program funding.

Examples may include:

  • Industrial equipment

  • Processing systems

  • Demonstration hardware

  • Specialized infrastructure

Capital assets purchased through the program are subject to additional reporting and usage requirements.
