Step 1: Application review
After the application intake closes, CFIN reviews all submissions for completeness and compliance.
Step 2: Project scoring
Eligible submissions are evaluated by a panel of three reviewers.
Reviewer requirements
All reviewers:
Must declare conflicts of interest
Are bound by confidentiality agreements
Evaluation criteria
Projects are scored using the CFIN selection criteria outlined in the Program Guide on the CFIN website.
Funding decisions
The highest-scoring projects are selected for funding based on available program funding for that intake.
