Description	In Batman’s quest to ensure his legacy, one of his shelved experiments - an AI based on a scan of Batman’s brain - resulted in The Legacy Cowl. Following its rejection for lacking human empathy, the AI architected its own theft and soon after, it began duplicating itself to pursue its own legacy in Gotham City. Citizens of Gotham City, you’ve now become an integral part of this evolving story. The fate of Gotham City lies in your hands, ready for you to shape its future. Determine the Next Chapter Every month, Legacy Cowl holders get the chance to vote on where and how to pursue the nefarious Legacy Cowls in Gotham City. You'll be voting on the clues and leads to follow and support other citizens of Gotham City as they devise ingenious ways to tackle the evolving code of The Legacy Cowl’s remnants. And your vote will determine the next chapter in the evolution of this gripping adventure. The results of each month's vote will determine the following month’s component drop (e.g. April’s vote = May’s component drop) and the Limited Edition Legacy Cowl it can create in Overdrive. You’ll then get the opportunity to participate in an Overdrive crafting event to overwrite The Legacy Cowl’s villainous code by crafting unique limited-edition versions of your Base Edition Legacy Cowl, changing the appearance of your cowl permanently.
Requirements	You’ll need the following assets to participate in each month’s vote: - Legacy Cowl (Base Edition or Variant Edition) You’ll need the following assets to participate in each crafting challenge: - Base Edition Legacy Cowl (one that has not been crafted) or Safe Mode Edition Legacy Cowl (which can be crafted one additional time) - The current month’s crafting component or patch You can only craft your Base Edition Legacy Cowl once and your Safe Mode Edition Legacy Cowl one additional time.
Voting	All holders of a Legacy Cowl (Base and Variant Editions) are invited to submit one vote. The weight of each vote will be multiplied by the total number of Legacy Cowls held by each collector. The winning vote will determine the next month’s paid component drops, crafting opportunities, and limited edition collectibles.
Flow	Once you’ve got the necessary items noted under Crafting Requirements: - Start your Overdrive crafting experience at Candy.io/DC and select “Overdrive” in the navigation bar. - Select The Legacy Cowls. - Hit “Complete Challenge” at the top of the page to get to the asset selection page. - Select the assets you would like to merge: Legacy Cowl v1 Overdrive Patch - In the Burn Confirmation screen, click “Confirm & Burn” to submit your assets to burn.
Start Tiime	Each month’s vote and crafting session will be announced in advance. Keep an eye on your email, social, and Discord for updates!
End Time	Each month’s vote will last approximately 24 hours. Each month’s crafting will last approximately 7 days. Exact dates and times will be announced in advance via email, social media, and Discord.
Rewards: Airdrop & Serialization	After crafting you can view your rewards under “Incoming Rewards”, please note that your new collectible(s) will be airdropped to your account at the end of the DC Overdrive crafting event. Each Variant Edition Legacy Cowl will feature a new appearance, and unlock new clues and access to a snapshot of the swarm’s feed that may help the citizens of Gotham City shut them down permanently. While each unlocks new clues, all Legacy Cowl variants have access to upcoming votes and Legacy Cowl Collection gated activities. The original Legacy Cowl and the overdrive patch will both be burned, and a new Safe Mode Legacy Cowl with a random edition number will be delivered at the end of the crafting event.
Account Limits	You can engage in unlimited crafting sessions, provided you have enough resources. Craft to your heart’s content!
Additional Details	Your Base Edition Legacy Cowl (uncrafted) may be used in any crafting session! You will only be able to craft your component or patch during its designated crafting challenge. Components and patches can be sold on the secondary marketplace, during and after the crafting experience. But, if used during a crafting experience, they will be burned. Base Edition Legacy Cowls can only be crafted once. Once a Legacy Cowl has been crafted it will not count towards a future craft. Glossary: Base Edition Legacy Cowl: The initial version of a Legacy Cowl collectible, which comes without any applied rarities or customization. It serves as the foundational model for holders to customize through Overdrive Crafting Experiences with components. These base editions are still part of the Legacy Cowl Swarm, can hypnotize their hosts, and threaten the citizens of Gotham City. Component: A digital collectible that reflects a method of overcoming the defenses of a Base Edition Legacy Cowl created by citizens of Gotham City or the Batcomputer that when burned in Overdrive crafting events, alters the cowl’s appearance and unlocks new clues. Overdrive: A virtual computing system that allows citizens of Gotham City to unlock, access and expand elements of the DC storyworld. A monthly crafting event allows Legacy Cowl holders to burn components and cowls, thereby neutralizing their cowl to overwrite The Legacy Cowl’s villainous code and customizing their appearance. Patch: A special type of component that is airdropped to holders within specific eligible groups. Patches offer unique customization options and celebrate membership within the Legacy Cowls community. Throughout 2024, specific groups (Bat Cowl holders, Legends of/a’ Gotham City, and Harley Quinn Crew members) will be airdropped an Overdrive Patch that would allow these holders to participate in exclusive Overdrive events, in addition to the monthly Overdrive events for all Legacy Cowl holders. Variant Edition Legacy Cowl: Limited edition Legacy Cowls have been overwritten in Overdrive feature different appearances, and unlock unique clues about the Legacy Cowls’ activities. Each is available for a limited time before the rogue AI updates itself.
