Inviting internal team members

Use the invitation wizard to invite internal connections (colleagues, team members etc.) to the platform and, more specifically, to the resources you control (workspaces, marketplaces etc.).

Inviting internal users

  1. Click the "Invite" button in the upper right corner (if you do not see the invite button you may not have permission to do so)

  2. Select the "Employee of {my organization}" tile

  3. In the contacts box, enter names, emails or groups you wish to invite (if your colleague is already registered on Capcade, the system will recognize their name and present it as an option in the drop down menu)

  4. In the "Resource" box, enter the names of resource you want to grant access to - this will be pre-populated with the specific resource you are on if you are on a resource page (i.e. if you are already within a workspace)

  5. Click "Continue"

  6. You will see a final summary page showing:

    • Who you have invited

    • What you are granting them access to

  7. If you are happy, click "Send"

If the invitee has not yet registered to Capcade, the user can be assigned to an existing internal group or a new group created as required.

Furthermore, once these connections have been added, workspace admins can assign workspace roles to them, to efficiently manage workspace and document permissions.

Assigning invitees to workspace roles (coming soon)

The introduction of workspace roles and permissions, has unlocked the opportunity to improve the on-boarding journey for new workspace members. In the near future, you will be able to assign a new member to a workspace role during the invite process.

In the interim, once a member has been invited to a resource they can easily be added to a workspace role in the members settings or given custom workspace permissions as a stand-alone user, in permissions dialogue.
