πŸ’‘ If you are unsure if CareCru creates new patients in your practice management software automatically, ask us via the messenger icon at the bottom right of your window.

When you get an online appointment request from a patient who is not yet in your system, you will be asked to create a new patient before the appointment request can be confirmed.
However, if CareCru does not automatically create the new patient in your practice management software, you will have to create the patient in both systems.
This creates duplicate patient records and is not good.

To avoid this:
Create the New Patient AND the New Patient's Appointment, in your practice management software, before accepting the appointment request.
Then, when you accept the appointment, you will be able to link the the new appointment request to this new patient you just created.Β

Thanks to your help, Donna will know to connect all future online requests from this patient to the correct patient file automatically.
The good news is that you only need to tell Donna once!

Linking an online booking request to an existing patient is easy.
Once you have created the patient in your practice management software, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Online Request in CareCru and click Accept

  2. A box will appear titled Create or Connect a Patient with the new patient listed

  3. Select the patient you want to link, then click Connect Patient

πŸ’‘ All future online appointment requests from this patient will automatically be linked to their CareCru patient file.
