How to Disable Email or Text messages for Specific Patients

Learn how you can turn off or opt-out specific communication methods for select patients

Have a patient that only prefers text messages or emails? Or maybe they don't want to be contacted as often as you contact all your other patients? Patient communications can be customized on a per patients basis in CareCru based on their own personal preferences.

How to Update Individual Patient Preferences

  1. Go to the Patient's Profile

  2. Click on Edit to the right of Patient Info

  3. Click on the Settings tab

  4. Scroll to the Contact Methods section

From here, you can choose to update just a specific type of communication they no longer want (ie: specific touchpoints such as the 21-day reminder or the 1 week after due date) or you can fully turn off a communication method such as Email, SMS or Phone.

  • To turn off one specific type of communication type, just toggle off the touchpoint and select Save

  • To turn off all communication methods through a certain channel, scroll to Contact Methods and toggle off the type of communication channel and select Save
