Logging recalls is a great way to be on top of your recare lists to ensure that you have a written log of your communications with due/ late patients. Additionally, these logs also get written back into the practice management software for you to access!

You can log a Recall using the Actions Menu on the Patient Management view, directly on the Patient Profile view, and even from Chat or Patients Insights!

How to log a recall

  1. From the Actions dropdown, click on Log Recall

  2. If the patient is part of a Family file, you can also select one or multiple family members to log the recall for:

  3. By default, the date will be entered as today's date

  4. Select a Contact method - Phone, SMS, Email from the dropdown list

  5. Select a Recall Outcome from the list of options

  6. Add Notes if applicable

  7. Click ADD to log this recall communication

  8. Once added, this will be synced into your PMS and will be visible in the Timeline & Activities of the patients' profile

💡Note: if you log a recall within 2 weeks of a scheduled Donna Recall message, Donna will skip sending that touchpoint out.

Example:

Practice logs a recall Dec 7, and Donna had a recall scheduled in the next 2 weeks (up to Dec 21), that one touchpoint would be skipped:

Whereas, if the recall was logged Dec 7, but if Donna's recall was scheduled to go out anytime after Dec 21, so say on Dec 22 - it WOULD be sent:
