Here is a quick guide on ensuring that you properly set continuing care for patients in Power Practice.

The Continuing Care settings will ensure that Donna sends out recalls to patients at intervals both before and after the Continuing Care next recommended appointment date.

1. Click on ‘Folder’ icon near the top left of the Power Practice window

2. Enter the patients name then click Search. Highlight the patient that you want to view and click OK

3. Once the form for the patient opens click on the Recall tab then to add a new recall click on the folder with the + sign.

4. Click on the Recall Cd. drop down to select a recall type and duration. This will populate the Recall Date and Original Date based on the Last Recall Date

5. Click on the folder with the check mark to save the recall
6. Repeat steps 3, 4, and 5 to add either a RECALL or HYGIENE

As part of the initial setup, CareCru has already set up which Continuing Care types will signify “hygiene” and which will signify “recall" exams. A date for a PROPHY for instance will usually set the “Due for Recall Exam” date. Whereas the date for PERIO or HYGIENE, will set the “Due for Hygiene” date. If you’d like to see the exact list of types that CareCru has mapped to Hygiene or Recall, simply reach out to our Customer Success team and they can provide it to you.
