When navigating through the practice's schedule on the CareCru schedule page, you may notice that the names of the columns in the "Chair View" do not match the operatory names set up in Dentrix.

This is because Dentrix opts to display the Operatory ID value for a chair, whereas CareCru displays the "Operatory Title" assigned to a chair in Dentrix.

Example operatory names displayed in Dentrix:

Example operatory names displayed in CareCru:

In order to change the names of the operatories in CareCru, one will first need to make these changes through Dentrix and this chance once completed will automatically sync to CareCru.

A step-by-step guide to making this change in Dentrix -

1. Open Dentrix's "Office Manager" application

2. From the Maintenance drop-down menu, select Practice Setup>Practice Resource Setup

3. You will then be able to see the Practice Resource Setup pop-up window which will display all "Operatories" that have been created for the practice.

4. To make changes to an operatory, select the corresponding Operatory ID from the list and then click the "Edit" button.

5. You should then see the "Operatory Information" pop-up window which contains the designated "Operatory ID" as well as the "Operatory Title". Adjust the "Operatory Title" to the name you would like to have displayed as the Chair column in CareCru.

NOTE - To avoid confusion:

  • If you'd like the Operatory (or Chair) column names in CareCru to match exactly the Operatory column names in your Dentrix Appointment Book, simply erase the text in the "Operatory Title:" in this "Operatory Information" pop-up window, and click OK.

  • This will make it reflect the Operatory ID (e.g. OP01) in CareCru instead of the custom-named "Operatory Title:".

6. Once you have input the updated operatory name, select "OK" and exit the Office Manager.
7. Please wait for a few minutes to allow for the sync from Dentrix to CareCru to occur and then refresh your CareCru platform.
