How to Enable Appointment Reminders for Inactive Patients

A quick setting change can ensure that inactive patients receive appointment reminders.

CareCru's default setting is set up to exclude inactive patients from Donna's reminders. However, there may be instances where you'd want to send reminders to inactive patients, such as - an appointment has been booked for an inactive patient without immediately switching them to an active patient or for patients that have certain statuses which Donna does not identify as active.

To enable these patients to receive appointment reminders:

  1. Go to Account Settings

  2. Select the Donna tab

  3. Go to the Reminders section

  4. Click on the utility wheel in the top right corner

  5. On the Reminders Advanced Settings pop-up, ensure you’ve changed the “Do you want Donna to send Appointment Reminders to Inactive Patients?” toggle to ON

  6. Select Save
