Short background

With the option "Order and Quote Authorization", you have the ability to control exactly whose orders and quotes a user can view.

Example:

John is a salesperson at a company that is represented in several countries around the world. The company shares the same CRM system so that management can access complete reports and forecasts for the company. For John however, it is not of interest to see what his colleagues in other parts of the world sell or offer their customers because they work in completely different markets.

So how do you solve this? With Order and Quote Authorization of course! John's manager sets up rules for his users for which departments or users he should have access to, simple!

Instructions:

First, a few prerequisites for you to be able to follow the step-by-step guide below.

  1. Make sure you have the add-on Order and Quote Authorization, if not, click here to add it.

  2. Make sure you are authorized to change authorization. This is set up in

    Settings -> Users -> Roles.

Step 1.

Start by opening up the user you want to change authorization on, then click on the "Authorization" tab and scroll down to "Order & Quotation".

Step 2.

Then select the departments and/or users that said user are permitted to view. Press ctrl and click to select more!

When you are done - click Save.

(Tip! Are you updating multiple users' permissions? Just click Next at the top right corner get to the next user in your list and update.)

Step 3.

Instruct the user you have updated to log out and log in for the changes to take effect.

Done! 🌟
