How to update your rates when things change

When you set up your CareSmartz360 portal, you will set rates that you charge for your services. You may do this in the Office Settings>Rates tab, or you may do it in the Payer Profiles, or maybe a combination. In time, you may raise your rates, or the insurance companies you bill might raise the amount you can bill there. Changing the rates is a simple process.

If your rates are all in the Office Settings

Navigate to Office Settings>Rates

First, you'll want to edit the rates that are currently in the system to put an end date

Then, just add your new rate with its start date.

Make sure you select the correct Bill Unit Type. You can look at the old one to make sure you are consistent

If your rates are in the Payer Profiles

Navigate to Payers and then select the first payer you want to edit

In the Payer profile, navigate to the Rates tab and then edit the rate that is currently there to add the end date.

Then, add your new rate

Make sure you select the correct Bill Unit Type. You can look at the old one to make sure you are consistent

The same service type may have a Private Pay rate in your Office settings, and then unique rates for Insurance or Medicaid in the Payer profiles, so check both places to make sure you have updated all the places that need to be updated.
