A step by step guide to generating EDI files for billing in Caresmartz360

If you submit claims using EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) you will first need to complete Billing (see Create an Invoice article)

Navigate to your Accounting Module and Select View EDI

You will be redirected to a new screen that looks very similar to the Create Invoice window. To generate a new EDI file, leave the selection on Search Invoices. You will need to make sure that all filters have selections in order to generate a claim file. Click Apply once your filters have been selected.

You will then be able to see a list of invoices that were created based on your filter selections. Choose the invoices you wish to generate an EDI file for and click on Generate EDI at the top right hand corner of your screen.

You will then be redirected to the EDI generation window.

You can now easily view previously generated EDI claims by changing from Search Invoices to Generated EDI. You can search by Service Date Range or Invoice Date Range. Simply click on the radio button associated with your preference. Make sure all filter fields are populated and click Apply.

You will be able to view a list of invoices that have been previously included in an EDI file. Clicking on the Green EDI Icon will allow you to download the file again or regenerate with new information.
