How to Set Up and Use Referrals in CASA Loyalty

The Referrals feature in CASA Loyalty allows you to turn your existing customers into brand ambassadors by rewarding them for referring friends. This feature helps you grow your customer base effortlessly while giving both the referrer and the referred friend an incentive to shop at your store.


How to Navigate to the Referral Feature

  1. Open the CASA Loyalty app from your Shopify dashboard.

  2. Click on Programs in the left-side menu.

  3. Scroll down and click Setup under the Referrals section.

  4. A page will open (as shown in the image below), where you can configure your referral program.

Configuring the Referral Program

1. Enable the Referral Program

At the top of the page, you will see the Referral Status section. If the program is currently disabled, click the Enable button to activate it.

2. Set Up Referral Rewards

You can define rewards for both the existing customer (referrer) and the new customer (referred friend).

  • Referring Customer Reward: The reward given to the customer who refers a friend. Click Add Reward to configure it.

  • Referring Friend Reward: The reward given to the new customer who was referred. Click Add Reward to set this up.

3. Enable Referral Nudge (Optional)

Referral nudge encourages customers to refer their friends right after placing an order. You can toggle this feature on to boost referrals passively.

4. Enable Social Sharing

Customers can share their referrals directly from the CASA Panel via Facebook, X (Twitter), and Email.

  • Click the Edit button next to "Social Sharing" to open the settings.

  • Choose which platforms customers can share their referrals on.

  • Customize the message for X (Twitter), Email Title, and Email Body. If left blank, the default messages will be used.

  • Customize how the referral link preview appears, including the Title, Description, and Image (recommended size: 1200px by 628px).

  • Click Save when you're done.


5. Set Up a Referral Landing Page

The referral landing page determines where referred customers are sent after clicking a referral link.

  • Click the Edit button next to "Referral Landing Page."

  • Enter the URL where you want referred customers to land. If left blank, they will be sent to your homepage by default.

  • Click Save to apply your changes.



How It Works for Customers

  1. An existing customer shares their unique referral link with a friend.

  2. The referred friend makes a purchase using the referral link.

  3. Both the referrer and the referred friend receive the rewards you have set up.

  4. Rewards are automatically added to the customer’s account in CASA Loyalty.
