How Placeholders { } Work

Placeholders are dynamic tags that automatically pull specific data related to each customer or transaction. When you send an email, these placeholders are replaced with real information, making every message unique and personal.

Common Placeholders You Can Use

  1. {points}:

    • Displays the exact number of points a customer has earned or redeemed.

    • Example: "You’ve earned {points} points! Redeem them for exclusive rewards today."

    • Real Output: "You’ve earned 150 points! Redeem them for exclusive rewards today."

  2. {reward}:

    • Highlights a specific reward the customer has unlocked or is close to unlocking.

    • Example: "You’re just a few steps away from earning {reward}. Keep going!"

    • Real Output: "You’re just a few steps away from earning a $10 gift card. Keep going!"

  3. {ruleName}:

    • Refers to the specific earning rule or action the customer completed to earn points.

    • Example: "Thanks for completing {ruleName}! You’ve earned bonus points as a reward."

    • Real Output: "Thanks for completing your first purchase! You’ve earned bonus points as a reward."
