How to Earn Points by Placing an Order

Overview:
Customers can earn loyalty points every time they place an order on your store. This feature encourages repeat purchases and customer engagement. Here's how you can configure and optimize this earning action.


Configuring Points for "Place an Order"

  1. Navigate to CASA Loyalty in your Shopify Dashboard.
    Go to the CASA Loyalty app and click on the "Program" section.

  2. Select Place an Order.
    This action allows customers to earn points when they complete a purchase.

  3. Choose the Earning Type:

    • Increments of Points: Assign points based on the amount spent, e.g., 1 point for every Rs1 spent.

    • Fixed Amount of Points: Award a specific number of points for every order, regardless of the order value.

  4. Set the Earning Value:
    Define the points customers earn. For example:

    • 100 Points for Every Rs1 Spent.

  5. Enable Additional Incentives:

    • First Order Incentive: Offer bonus points for a customer’s first purchase.

    • Limit Points for This Action: Restrict how often customers can earn points for placing orders. For instance, allow points to be earned only once per 30 days.

  6. Activate the Action:
    Toggle the status to "Active" to enable the feature.

  7. Customize the Icon:
    Choose the default icon or upload your own to match your brand.


How It Works for Customers

  • Customers earn points automatically when they place an order.

  • If you’ve set up an expiration date for points, customers need to redeem them before they expire.

  • Points are calculated based on the total order amount or a fixed value, depending on your settings.
