Casa Loyalty gives you full control over which products earn points. Using the Excluded Product Tags feature, you can prevent specific products from contributing to points calculations — without touching your collections or earning rules.
This is perfect if you want to reward customers for purchasing high-margin products but not others (e.g., low-margin, wholesale, or sample items).
Where to Find This Setting
Open the Casa Loyalty app in your Shopify Admin.
In the left-hand menu, click Settings.
Select Platform.
Scroll down to the Excluded Product Tags section.
How to Set It Up
Make sure the checkbox "Exclude reward points for products with any of these tags" is enabled (checked).
In the Add product tag field, type the tag you want to exclude (e.g., no-points, wholesale, sample).
Click Add or press Enter.
Repeat for any additional tags you want to exclude.
Click Save to apply your changes.
✅ Note: Tag matching is case-insensitive, so "No-Points", "no-points", and "NO-POINTS" all work the same way.
How to Tag Products in Shopify
Go to your Shopify Admin → Products.
Open the product you want to exclude from points.
In the right-hand sidebar, find the Tags field.
Add your chosen tag (e.g., no-points).
Click Save.
Once tagged, Casa Loyalty will automatically skip that product when calculating points for any order.
Example Use Case
You sell 3D printed products alongside other higher-margin items. You want customers to earn points on the high-margin products but not the 3D printed ones.
Tag all your 3D printed products with no-points in Shopify.
Add no-points to the Excluded Product Tags list in Casa Loyalty → Settings → Platform.
Done — customers will earn points only on the products that matter to your margins. 🎯
💡 Tips
You can exclude multiple tags — just add them one by one.
This setting works alongside your Ways to Earn rules, so both can be used together for maximum control.
If a product has multiple tags and even one matches an excluded tag, it will be skipped from points calculation.
