A run through your in-app default emails and how to change them

The Client emailing page there to support you in interacting with your clients. It has a selection of default emails ready for you, covering many messages to help you connect with your clients.

We send these out automatically on your behalf when your clients are first using the app. We also send out notifications of things like a changed password.

The email templates

We send these out for you at optimal moments as your clients start using the app. We also send out administrative notifications for things like a changed password.

On the Client emailing page, select the email template you’d like to see and it will show you how it will look to your clients.

Adding a new email

We have the option for you to edit existing email templates—however a basic level of coding experience is required.* 

If you feel confident with that and would like to edit an email template, click on the email you'd like to edit and press the New version button. Press Yes, I can code. 

Simply find the text you’d like to edit (text appears as white in the coding window), and type over it with your new text. 

Note: Make sure you don’t type over the white code inside brackets—only the words you want to replace. 

Selecting a layout

Under the Email layouts tab at the top of the page, you can choose how your email will look.  Choose from the branded default layout, a basic layout stripped of branding, and an SMS option.

Change the Subject line

if you would like to change the subject line your clients will see in their emails, simply type over the text in the Subject field to change it.

Checking your changes

Your changes will appear directly below the coding window, so you can change them any time.

*Note: Creating a new template or layout is an advanced feature for experienced coders only.  If you or your team are unfamiliar with HTML or CSS but you’d still like to customise your communications, just get in touch and we can develop a template or layout for you.

There is no need to save the new email, it will appear in the email list. Click on the name to Rename or Delete it.
