Why duplicates can appear from time to time and how to fix them

You may notice from time to time that transactions are duplicated and this can throw off some of your reports and/or your fitness tracker. The account balances on the Dashboard will be correct, but you may find two transactions that are exactly the same in.

Why this happens

This happens because of the way financial institutions handle pending transactions. A pending transaction is one that has been removed from your account but hasn't cleared with the merchant you purchased with yet. As this transactions status changes, it can sometimes look like a new transaction to Wealth Desk.

How to fix it

Our systems are always on the look out for duplicates and generally they resolve on their own within 24 hours. If transactions persist beyond a 24 hour period, start a chat with us to let us know.ย
