Syncing accounts

Find out about your account syncing messages and why they're there

Our system updates your account information once every 24 hours, and when you log in there may be some accounts syncing. Most often they will be done in a few moments, but sometimes there is a reason it takes longer.

We may not be able to quickly sync an account because:

  • Your bank's site is experiencing technical difficulties

  • Your user name/password are incorrect

  • We are cleaning up duplicate transactions

If you'd like to, you can manually request a refresh by clicking on the Settings cog icon beside your account and selecting Refresh Account. This will refresh all available data for that bank and can take up to 15 minutes. You'll see a notification that your request has been received and your Dashboard will display a progress message. 

In some cases you'll notice that your balances are accurate but your transactions are not the same as your bank's. This is most likely because some transactions are still pending or our systems are trying to clean up duplicates. Please allow up to 24 hours for systems to sync. 

If an account looks like it doesn't have your most recent transactions, head to the All notifications link under Your account at the top of your menu to see if there's a reason.
