Technologies who use auto-categorisation for their transactions all rely on the quality of the information being passed between merchants and banks. They doesn’t always get it right.

There are millions of potential transactions and new merchants popping up every day and, in the same way you might be confused by a transaction on your credit card statement, our systems can sometimes have trouble too.

While every effort is made to give you the most accurate information possible, most systems around the world work on an accuracy rate of about 80 to 85%.

The good news is we’ve made it really easy for you to get much higher accuracy with your clients' data. Here’s how:

Using Statements and Living Expense Analysis to edit your clients' Categories:

Inside your platform, you’ll find a Download Analysis button on the page that displays your clients’ bank statements. Clicking this button will retrieve an Excel spreadsheet with a complete analysis of your clients living expenses.

If there are transactions that are not categorised or are not categorised correctly, go to the All Transactions tab and edit the Category there.

If there’s any uncertainty, have a chat with your client to get more information. Once you've finished, click Data on the menu, then Refresh all to update all tables and charts in your spreadsheet.
