How to edit your recording transcript in Castmagic.

📝 Editing Your Castmagic Transcript: A Step-by-Step Guide

1. Start Editing Your Transcript

  • Click the "Edit" button.

  • Purpose: Correct any errors or misspelled words.

2. Search For Text

  • Press "Command" or "Control" + "F" on your keyboard.

  • This action brings up the search section to find specific words or phrases.

3. Find & Replace Words or Phrases

  • Type in the desired word/phrase.

  • The transcript will highlight all occurrences.

  • Navigate through the transcript by clicking the highlighted instances.

  • For replacements: Click "Edit" → Choose "Find and Replace".

4. Excluding Specific Sections from AI Content

  • Use the "Exclude" button.

  • Purpose: Prevent specific content, like ad reads or non-relevant conversation parts, from being factored into AI-generated content.

5. Labeling Speakers & Rearranging Sections:

  • Click on the name in the section you'd like to modify.

  • Select the appropriate speaker from the drop-down.

    🚨 Note: After speakers have been assigned, using this method will only change the particular instance you're working on.
    If you check the "apply to all" box, all speakers will be changed to your new selection.

6. Merging or Splitting Sections:

  • Select to highlight the content you wish to alter.

  • Cut and paste the content where desired (Cmd/Ctrl X + Cmd/Ctrl V)

Step 7. Download Your Edited Transcript:

  • Click on the download button.

  • Choose your preferred format.
    - Text file
    - Text file (no timestamps)
    - SRT, VTT, or CSV formats.
