How to Pull SRT URL from Castr to Vmix

Pull a stream from Castr to Vmix using an SRT URL in a few steps.

If you have a live stream currently online on Castr and want to pull it to Vmix, it can easily be done via our RTMP Pull link or SRT Pull link.

The SRT and RTMP Pull features are included with Standard or higher plans. (If you have a legacy plan, you can still access this feature if you have Multistream Premium, All in One Plus, or higher plans)

How to Pull Your Stream to Vmix with the SRT Pull Link

Step 1: Get your SRT Pull link details like the gif below:

You can also click the Get SRT Pull button to get the pull link. It will look something like this:

srt://ny-3.castr.io:9998?streamid=#!::r=543f18b048e111ec8b809bc56ddba5fe,m=request

Step 2: Add the SRT link in Vmix

  • Click Add Input

  • Choose Stream/SRT in the left sidebar, and select Stream Type as SRT (Caller). Then fill in your SRT URL information (Hostname, Port, Stream ID) extracted from your SRT URL in Step 1.

  • Click OK, and the SRT input is now added to your Vmix
