Custom fundraiser fields allow you to collect additional info from your peer to peer fundraisers during their personal or team fundraising page setup. Here are examples of what you can do with this feature:
Find out the best way to connect with fundraisers (email, social media, etc) and ask for additional contact information
Ask fundraisers for their t-shirt size if you’re running an athletic event.
If a family is fundraising under one page, you can collect their names and contact information.
Figure out where fundraisers heard about your campaign/organization (through a friend, online, etc).
Opportunity to select any rewards for fundraising.
Custom Fundraiser Fields are available for both personal fundraising pages and team fundraising pages. For the purposes of this article, we will be showcasing personal page custom fields.
Using Custom Fields
Step 1: Login to your CauseVox Admin account and enter into your campaign's settings. Navigate to the Fundraising Website >> Personal Pages or Team Pages section and select Custom Fields.
Step 2: Add a custom field or a repeating custom field. Enter in your question, select a field type that helps donors best answer your question, and add values when appropriate.
Custom Fields Types
There are two types of custom fields.
A normal field is a question that can only be filled out once, which is typically used in situations where only fundraiser is answering questions only on their own behalf. (Typically used).
A repeating field is a question that the donor can add rows to, so that the question can be answered multiple times. This is best used in a situation where a fundraiser is answering questions on behalf of multiple people. (Not often used).
You’re able to add multiple fields, so you can use both types on one form, in any arrangement.

Radio - donors are forced to choose one of the options
Any question can be made required or optional.
Custom Field Groups
We recommend one custom field question per group so that your data exports are more readable (most common).
If you need data grouped together or formatted as columns, you can use Field Groups (not as common). Groups are supported for both Normal and Repeating Fields.
In the above example, three custom field are added in one row to save space as well as to have data grouped together in exports.
Your fundraisers will fill out their custom field on the first page of their personal or team fundraiser setup form.
You’ll be able to see a fundraiser’s custom field answers on when you select Manage >> Personal / Team Page and select a participant.
Custom fields data is available n the fundraiser export.
Custom fields are available on the Standard Plan and above.
