Projects allow you to organise all of the tasks related to a specific carbon, biodiversity or natural capital asset in Cecil. This is an easy way for Cecil users to view all stakeholders, site details, upcoming tasks and credits associated with a project.
In this article, you will learn to create a project from start to finish.
How to create a new project
Go to Projects in the Navigation bar.
Click the ‘Add a project’ button
Enter a Project name and Project type
Adding a Source or Tag is optional, but may be helpful in grouping specific projects together.
Add a Project Owner. These are people within your organisation whose role is a Project Developer
Adding other Project Contacts is optional. These people may have roles as Project Developers, Project Participants (e.g. landholders) or Investors. Add as many relevant contacts as you like!
Type an address. This will automatically fill in the longitude and latitude coordinates. Pinpoint a specific location by adjusting the coordinates. Feel free to select a general area if you don’t know the exact location yet - you will be able to update this later!
Check your location by zooming in (+/-) on the map
When you are satisfied all the project information is correct, press ‘Finish’. Congratulations on your new project!
