Need to remove a project? Accidentally created one?

Archiving allows you to remove a project from the main project list view in Cecil. This can only be done by Cecil users with Project Developer access.

In this article, you will learn how to archive and restore projects.


How to archive a project

  1. Select the project you would like to archive

  2. In the top right hand corner, click Actions... and select Archive from the dropdown menu

  3. A warning message will appear, click Archive project to continue

  4. You may choose to view your archived projects straight away - click the link in the success message at the bottom!

How to view archived projects

  1. Go to Projects in the navigation sidebar and scroll to the bottom

  2. Click the link saying Archived projects (no.)

How to restore a project

If you have accidentally archived a project, follow these simple steps to bring it back to life. Notes, contacts, site details and files will be unchanged and you can pick up right where you left off.

  1. Navigate to the Archived projects list

  2. Identify the project you would like to restore and click the three dots (...) on the right hand side of the screen

  3. Click Restore project from the dropdown

  4. A warning message will appear, click Restore project to continue

  5. You will be redirected to the Project Overview of the project you just restored!
