Overview
To ensure a smooth and successful verification process with Cedar, it's important to follow a few key steps. Proper verification is crucial for complying with regulatory requirements and ensuring the security of your account. Here’s how you can help streamline the process:
1. Ensure Consistency in Your Business and Bank Account Name
The name on your bank account must match the legal name of your business to avoid delays.
2. For Nigerian Businesses
The BVN name (Bank Verification Number) must match the name on your valid ID and bank account. This ensures consistency across all your records.
3. Provide Accurate and Original Documents
Use the correct identity numbers for verification, and provide original copies of your ID and business registration documents.
Ensure that all documents are current, clear, and fully legible.
4. Photographs of Documents
Submit photographs of documents taken in a well-lit setting.
Avoid using previously saved images; fresh images help ensure clarity and authenticity.
5. ID Verification
For full verification, submit both the front and back of your ID.
Place the ID on a contrasting surface (e.g., a dark background for light-colored IDs) to enhance clarity.
6. Verification of Business Directors
Each business director must complete a separate verification process.
Each director will receive a separate email with instructions to complete their part of the verification.
