The banner (or announcement bar) is the perfect tool to share an important message or link with your clients. Placed at the top of your website, it is visible on every page, ensuring direct communication with your visitors.

1. Enable Banner Display

To make your banner appear on your site, you need to activate its publication. Go to the “Announcements” option in your site editor. On the right side of the page, click the activation button. Once enabled, the banner will be visible on all pages of your website.

2. Create a Banner

To create a new banner, click “Add a Message” in the right-hand panel and select the type of banner that fits your goal.

3 types of announcements are available, each designed for different needs. In this article, we explain how to create a banner step by step.

3. Banner Settings

3.1 Set the Display Period

You can choose when and for how long your banner will be visible on your site:

  • Start Date: select the day the banner should appear automatically.

  • End Date (optional): set a date for the banner to disappear automatically, ideal for temporary promotions.

  • No End Date: the banner will remain visible indefinitely.

3.2 Add a Call-to-Action

To make your banner interactive, enable the call-to-action button in the right-hand panel. You can also customize the banner background at the same time.

2 Types of Call-to-Action

Promote a Business Goal

This type of banner displays a message with a button that redirects visitors to a specific page on your site. You can encourage clients to book a table, reserve a room, place an order, fill out a contact form, or explore your menu and events. Available options depend on the features activated in CentralApp.

Custom Action

If you want to redirect visitors to an external site or page, use a banner with a custom action. The button text replaces the full URL, making the link clearer and more attractive. On a multilingual site, remember to translate your message so all visitors can understand it.

3.3 Customize the Background

The banner color is linked to the highlight color set in your branding settings. If it doesn’t fit your needs, you can choose a custom color.

Add Multiple Banners

You can add multiple banners to your site. They won’t all display at the same time, but will rotate. You can also schedule each banner by setting a specific start and end date.
