Enable Multilingual

Activating languages across the entire site is a crucial step. Always start with this action before translating your menu. Once enabled, your site can automatically display in the visitor's browser language if this option is enabled in the Languages option in the site editor. Otherwise, the site will display in the main language.

Translate a Detailed Menu

A detailed menu includes sections (starters, main courses, desserts...) and items (dishes and price variations). Here's how to proceed:

Step 1: Enable Menu Translation

In the menu settings, enable the additional languages you wish to offer.

If you want to offer your menu in English, enable this language and fill in the required fields.

Step 2: Translate the Sections

Go to the Sections tab in the menu settings to translate the name of each section and their descriptions.

Each activated language has its own tab, identifiable by its language code.

Step 3: Translate the Items

For each dish, translate:

  • The name of the dish

  • The description

  • Price variations (if applicable)

Practical example: a "Classique" burger becomes "Classic Burger" in English, and "Klassieke Burger" in Dutch.

Use Automatic Translation (Optional)

CentralApp offers automatic translation based on the original language. This saves time, but it is advisable to review and adapt translations, especially for:

  • Colloquial expressions

  • Terms specific to your establishment

CentralApp offers automatic translation based on the original language, which facilitates multilingual management.

This feature saves time, but it is recommended to review translations, particularly for colloquial expressions or terms specific to your establishment.
