Your iPhone screen displays an Apple alert message about its battery, screen or camera. For example: "Unknown part" in the "Parts and repair history" section of settings, or "Unable to check if this iPhone has an original Apple battery. The battery health status is not available".

What does this notification mean?

This notification appears when a repair has been carried out on a device and gives information about the component replaced: battery, screen, camera.

Only an Apple Genius Bar or an Apple Authorised Service Provider can replace a component in the latest iPhones without triggering the display of these messages. This doesn't mean that your battery (for example) is faulty - it simply means that it has been replaced by a new battery that performs just as well as the original. And the same goes for the other components.

The notification will be visible on the lock screen for a few days, and then will only be visible in your phone's settings.

Which devices are affected?

Only the latest iPhones (starting from the iPhone X and subsequent generations) are affected.

For iOS 15.2 and later versions, different information is displayed depending on your model. You can check this by going to Settings > General > About > PARTS AND REPAIRS HISTORY:

For iPhone XR, XS, XS Max, and later versions, including the iPhone SE (second generation), you can see if the battery has been replaced.

For iPhone 11, 12, and 13, you can see if the battery or screen has been replaced.

For iPhone 12 and 13, you can see if the battery, screen, or camera has been replaced.

For iOS versions earlier than iOS 15.2, you will see an "Important Message About the Battery," an "Important Message About the Display," or an "Important Message About the Camera."

In summary, this notification does not affect the performance of your device in any way. At CertiDeal, each of the devices we offer undergoes rigorous testing to ensure their condition and functionality, guaranteeing high-quality devices that perform just as well as new ones!
