The minimum age to serve alcohol is 18, provided the individual has completed an approved alcohol server training program and serves only in the dining area or family room of a restaurant or hotel. This must occur under the supervision of someone who is at least 21 years old, is present on the premises, and has also successfully completed an alcohol server training program, as outlined in IC 7.1-5-7-13.
