At Chanced, we want players to feel confident that the results of Chanced Original games are fair and cannot be changed or manipulated.
Our Provably Fair system uses cryptography to generate game results in a way that can be independently verified.
How does it work?
Every game result is generated using three pieces of information:
Client Seed
A Client Seed is a random value used as one part of generating your game results. Chanced provides one automatically, but players also have the option to change it.
Changing your Client Seed does not improve your odds, increase your chances of winning, or guarantee a different result. It simply allows you to control one of the inputs used in the Provably Fair system, providing additional assurance and transparency when verifying your results.
Server Seed
The Server Seed is generated by Chanced and kept hidden while you play. A hashed version of it is displayed with your game information, preventing the original Server Seed from being known in advance.
Once you rotate your seed pair, the original Server Seed is revealed and can be used to verify that your previous game results were generated correctly and were not changed afterward.
Nonce
The Nonce is simply a number that increases by one after each play. This allows a new and unique result to be generated for every play, even while using the same Client Seed and Server Seed.
Why is Provably Fair important?
Provably Fair provides an additional layer of transparency and verification. Rather than simply trusting that a result was generated fairly, the system allows game results to be verified using the Client Seed, Server Seed, and Nonce.
The purpose of changing or rotating seeds is verification and transparency, not to influence gameplay results or improve your odds of winning.
