Choose your ChangePilot email preferences

Control marketing, onboarding and ChangePilot alerts, including the separate Monthly Top 5 switch.

Written by Tom Arbuthnot

Use Settings and Notifications in the menu under your name, then open Notification Centre. This is where you check your email choices. It is separate from the schedules for individual Views and your watch list.

The email controls

Control

What it covers

Service emails

Sign-in codes and account service messages. These cannot be switched off here.

Marketing emails

ChangePilot news, events and offers.

ChangePilot alerts

Saved-View alerts, watch-list alerts, any existing legacy digest and Monthly Top 5. This is the master switch for these emails.

Monthly Top 5

The curated monthly Bulletin, with its own switch beneath ChangePilot alerts.

Onboarding and guidance emails

Getting-started help and tips sent through the help platform.

Turning marketing off does not turn alerts off. Turning Monthly Top 5 off leaves your View and watch-list alerts enabled. Turning ChangePilot alerts off stops all emails within that category; Monthly Top 5 cannot be turned on while the master is off.

Turning ChangePilot alerts back on restores Monthly Top 5 only if the master switch is what stopped it. A separate Monthly Top 5 opt-out, made here or in its email, stays off until you choose to turn it on.

Choose and save a preference

  1. Check the current state beside the relevant control.

  2. Change the switch you want.

  3. Wait for the saving message to finish and confirm the displayed state.

  4. If the change fails or the state is Unknown, retry. Do not treat an error as a saved preference.

A Monthly Top 5 or marketing unsubscribe made through HubSpot is checked when you next load this page. The onboarding preference is also checked with its sending platform on page load. These are not promises of an instant background update on an already-open screen.

If onboarding shows Unknown because there is no help-messenger profile, open the help messenger once and return. If it remains unavailable, contact support.

Individual alert schedules

For a saved View, use My Views and Emails → Manage Views and Emails. For your watch list, use My Items → Watching. Choose Daily, Weekly or Monthly and the relevant day and local time. These alerts require Plus and come from hello@changepilot.cloud. No alert is sent when nothing has changed.

Switching off one View's schedule stops that View's alert. Switching off ChangePilot alerts stops all alerts in the category while keeping your saved setup.

Unsubscribe scope

The unsubscribe in a View or watch-list alert is intended to stop the ChangePilot alerts category, including Monthly Top 5. The unsubscribe in the monthly Bulletin stops that publication, leaving your other alerts enabled. Marketing and onboarding have their own preferences. An unsubscribe is not a way to stop required sign-in or account service messages.

Check Notification Centre after unsubscribing. If the state disagrees with your choice, contact support. Turning one preference on cannot guarantee delivery if the sending platform has paused mail to your address.

Existing digest users

The older portal's product-and-impact digest is separate from the curated Bulletin. Existing members who chose digest categories can continue receiving it. The new portal no longer offers that category table, and new sign-ups do not acquire those categories. ChangePilot alerts can stop an existing digest.

Monthly Bulletin delivery

The new-account audience setup and received-email checks are still being verified. A switch showing On alone does not establish that your address is on the Bulletin audience. Contact support if an expected edition is missing.
