Understand the Monthly Top 5 Bulletin and your email preference

The curated monthly Bulletin, its preference controls and the remaining new-account delivery checks.

Written by Tom Arbuthnot

Monthly Top 5 is the curated monthly ChangePilot Bulletin. It is the same publication previously described as Monthly: Most Important Changes, rather than an additional email.

What it covers

The ChangePilot team selects up to five Microsoft 365 Message Center or Roadmap changes and explains why they matter. The edition is written and sent through HubSpot. It is not an automatic saved-View query, a complete list of your tenant's changes or an Azure report.

The monthly publication is part of the intended Free and paid experience. It has one editorial sending schedule, rather than a day and time chosen by each recipient. No specific send date is promised here.

Check your preference

  1. Open Settings and Notifications from the menu under your name.

  2. Find Notification Centre and ChangePilot alerts.

  3. Use the Monthly Top 5 switch underneath it.

Monthly Top 5 can be off while your View and watch-list alerts stay on. Turning off ChangePilot alerts stops all of them. You cannot turn Monthly Top 5 on while the master switch is off.

If you turned Monthly Top 5 off separately, turning the master off and back on does not undo that choice. You must choose to turn Monthly Top 5 on again.

The unsubscribe link in the Bulletin changes its HubSpot publication preference. Notification Centre checks that preference when you next load the page.

Current delivery limitation

New-member audience setup and received-email acceptance are still being verified. An enabled switch does not by itself prove that a new account is in the HubSpot send audience. If you expected an edition and did not receive it, check junk or quarantine and contact the team at help@changepilot.cloud.

The in-app edition preview and the wider report catalogue are deferred beyond launch. Do not use the older report-page preview switches as email subscriptions.

How it differs from alerts

A saved-View alert follows new or changed items matching your query. A watch-list alert follows the items you explicitly watch. Those alerts require Plus and have their own schedules; Monthly Top 5 is an editorial selection.
