π¬ Initiating a Chat
After signing up for ChatPRD you'll see four quickstart options:
Help me write a PRD
Help me improve an existing PRD (pro feature)
I want to brainstorm new features for my roadmap
Give me feedback on my writing & product ideas
You can start from one of these options, or can type directly into the text area at the bottom of the screen. A great thing about ChatPRD is you don't need extensive prompt engineering to get great results. Here's an example of a prompt you could start with:
I want to create an app that gives me a week of recipes to make for my family along with ingredients I need to buy for the week
ChatPRD will respond with a few follow-up questions to make sure she has all the necessary information. Questions might be about:
Target Audience
Unique features
Monetization Strategy
Technical Constraints
Once you provide additional details, your first draft will be generated!
π Saving a Document
Once you have your perfect document created, ask ChatPRD to save the document. You can also click the Save Document button at the top right of the screen.
βοΈ Editing your Document
Click on the document link that ChatPRD provides for you, or go to the top right of the screen to switch to doc mode. You can edit your document manually, or you can highlight text and have AI assist with your edits. AI can assist with:
Simplifying language
Fixing spelling & grammar
Making the document shorter
Making the document longer
Changing the tone of the document
Writing a TL;DR:
Emojifying the document
Translating the document
Completing your sentence
π Sharing your Document
Once your document is ready to share, go to the top right of the screen and click the share icon. You'll be able to share your chat and document by copying the link and sending to your audience.
ChatPRD also saves your formatting when you copy and paste, making it easy to bring your document into Google Docs, Notion, Confluence, or any place you store your documents.
